TRUST MONITOR POLICY
To participate in A Heart Surrendered Global Learning
Project (GLP), participants must adhere to the following
Trust Monitor Policy:
General Participation:
1. Students and teachers must adhere to the Acceptable Use
Policy of their school district.
2. All discussion posts must relate to the activities in this
GLP (i.e., no personal conversations).
3. Teacher approval is required before students can begin using this GLP.
4. Individual classroom teachers are responsible for carefully monitoring students’ use of all online resources.
5. The links found within this GLP are created for educational purposes only.
Identity and Privacy:
6. All communication within this GLP is closely monitored by the Project Coordinator. Any offensive posts will result
in removal from the project and teachers will be notified immediately.
7. All participants must register with their true identity. Any participants found to be misrepresenting a teacher,
school, or classroom will be removed from the project.
8 In all communications, students are to identify themselves by their first name only and by their city, state, or
country. It is imperative that they do not post any personal information such as last names, home addresses,
or telephone numbers.
Intellectual Property:
9. Participants must respect copyrights, trademarks, and other legal rights. If other sources are used, please ensure
that they are properly cited. Work that violates any copyright laws will be removed from the project.
Bullying and Harassment:
10. Any form of bullying, harassment, or other threats by participants towards others in this GLP will result in
immediate removal from the project.
Miscellaneous Information:
11. This GLP and its creator have suggested “partner” organizations, however, we are not responsible for classroom
participation involving those partnerships. It is highly recommended that all classroom teachers investigate and
research an organization before committing to any type of partnership.
